Spiritbox

Spiritbox is a Canadian progressive metalcore trio formed in 2017 by vocalist Courtney LaPlante and guitarist-producer Mike Stringer after their departure from iwrestledabearonce. Hailing from Victoria, British Columbia, the band pairs ethereal clean passages and ambient electronics with djent-tinged heaviness, showcased on viral singles “Holy Roller” and “Hurt You.” Their debut album *Eternal Blue* (2021) topped Billboard’s Hard Rock chart and earned Juno nominations, while 2023 EP *The Fear of Fear* demonstrated further sonic expansion. Spiritbox’s genre-fluid approach, dynamic vocal range and meticulous self-production have made them one of modern metal’s most acclaimed rising acts.
