PUNCHING BAG is a two-man hip hop group from Pomona, California, consisting of Askari and Jahsy. They were friends from middle school who drifted apart after attending different high schools and reconnected in 2021 through music. Their sound is guitar-driven and energetic, blending rap with rock guitars. They have released an EP titled GYM RAT in 2024 featuring songs like BELT, CHARACTER FLAW, VERTICAL, CONTENDER’S THEME, 2-STAR PROSPECT, and TREAD LIGHTLY.
