Midwest Pen Pals was a four-piece emo/indie punk rock band based in South Bend, Indiana. The band formed after some members of Merchant Ships had a falling out. They were active around 2009 and are known for their EP "Inside Jokes" released in 2009. Their music falls under the Alternative/Indie genre. The band had a significant influence on the emo revival scene but broke up about 13 years ago.
