Cap'n Jazz

Cap'n Jazz is an American emo band from Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Formed in the early 1990s by high school friends Tim Kinsella (vocals), Victor Villarreal (guitar), Sam Zurick (bass), and Mike Kinsella (drums), the band was short-lived but highly influential in transforming emo from a deeply underground punk subgenre into a more widely accepted subset of indie rock.
